NEWS ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATIONS OF JACQUES RANCOURT'S POEMS

NEWS ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATIONS OF JACQUES RANCOURT'S POEMS
The project of illustrating the 24 poems of the French author Jacques Rancourt, initiated by me [Mircea Bochis], turned out to be a great success. Since the illustrations were quite diversified in style, I decided that I should format them as "booklets", rather than turning them into "artist books"; the whole material constitutes the basis for a few very interesting future exhibitions. While participating at the French-English poetry festival organized in Paris, June 2011, I prezented to Jacques Rancourt all these illustration and I decided to donate them as a token of appreciation for his artistic contribution. I also took the opportunity to lay the foundation for several future exhibitions with these illustrations, the first one to probably take place during the Fall, at the National Library of Paris [as always, I will provide additional details after getting a more clear idea of the exhibition program]. The artists who want to contact Jacques Rancourt can email him at jacques.rancourt@wanadoo.fr. To find out more details about the illustrations and participated artists, go here.
All the illustrations can be seen here.
Please contact me via the regular email address, for any kinds of questions. Allow me to thank all artists who were involved in this project.
